AIA Continuing Education Units EPS-IA is a registered provider of the AIA, and as such can offer architect courses for HR and Sustainability credit. Our courses are offered by our "ACE Team," EPS-IA members who are trained to offer CES training throughout the United States.

NAHB Home Builders' Institute The Home Builders Institute, the workforce development arm of the National Association of Home Builders, is dedicated to the advancement and enrichment of education and training programs serving the needs of the building industry.
Building with Insulating Concrete Forms - 8 hrs
This course provides the traditional home builder with the information needed to evaluate and start using ICFs. The curriculum covers the advantages and costs of ICF construction, the components and materials used, design and planning considerations, the logistics of ICF construction, and important business and marketing considerations.
Insulating Concrete Forms Installation – 1 - 2 Day Course
In depth course provides students with thorough information and basic skills in the correct
construction of walls using insulating concrete forms. Participants will learn about the materials and products involved, the critical aspects of wall design and assembly, and the steps to building walls correctly and efficiently. Students will have the background needed to participate as productive members of a supervised ICF construction crew.
United Brotherhood of Carpenters For over 5 years, the Carpenter's Union has been offering training at the International Training Center in Las Vegas. This program addresses the demand for quality workmanship, safe and cost-effective trade skills, and meeting the work schedule. The Carpenter's Union offers two programs:
Contractor Estimating Training for Insulating Concrete Forms This training consists of a week long hands-on and classroom training culminating in an actual concrete placement in an ICF wall. The trainers who attend these sessions are all qualifed trade people with countless hours of concrete experience who are embracing new applications in concrete. They take this training and experience back to their home areas to continue training their colleagues in ICF installations.
Contractor Estimating Training for Insulating Concrete Forms The Conference will provide hands-on experience in the installation of Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF), including multi-story buildings using ICF deck forms, and training in the estimating of ICF jobs. Participants will leave with a full knowledge of estimating and installation procedures for ICF projects.
